Walt Mixon Photo Collection
In 2017, Phi was honored to receive some of the contents of the Walt Mixon Photo Collection. These contents include almost two hundred photographs of the Hall, Delta Psi events, and other moments in time from Ole Miss and Oxford during the 1970s and 1980s.
Mr. Mixon (Phi 1969) was a well-known photographer in Oxford, where he was a long-time resident until his death in 2008. His son, Dr. Avery Mixon (Phi 1999), is also a Phi Brother. Dr. Mixon was instrumental in providing these photos to the chapter for preservation and archiving.
In 2017, the chapter digitized all of the photos so that they will be preserved for years to come. Copies of these photos hang throughout the Hall in Oxford. Some of the photos are below:
